What Happens During a K9 Detection Search?
The homeowner or authorized legal representative for a company or institution requesting a search must
provide written authorization for Exclusive K9 personnel and detector dogs to access the residence, vehicles,
building or facilities for this purpose. Pets or animals of any kind must be removed from the premises prior
to entry by the K9 team. In the interests of public safety and client confidentiality it is preferable that persons
not directly involved in the search operation not be present in the immediate area while a search is being conducted.
When the property is vacated, the handlers do a walk-through with you and identify concerns you may have.
Then we walk our K9's through the property. Our teams are expertly trained to do their jobs quickly, efficiently,
and most importantly, accurately.
What If Our K9’s Smell Narcotics or Alcohol?
If it so happens that your suspicions are correct, and our K9 detection dogs do alert that they have located narcotics
or alcohol, the handler will mark the spot and verbally let you know. We don’t seek out the drugs, nor do we discard
them. We simply detect them. We are NOT law enforcement, but we will assist you with which options you
might have.
